An affordable housing scheme that celebrates modern town living

The Scheme

Evesham Baptist Church was bequeathed a 4-acre industrial site in Evesham that overlooks an orchard on the edge of the town. Allan Joyce Architects were appointed by the church to design a contemporary church, community centre and a small housing development on the site to create a new community hub in the area.

Housing for the Community

Creating a strong sense of community and identity for the new development was extremely important to the Church and so our design very much focuses on how best to bring those ideals to life. The development therefore celebrates the positives of modern town centre living, interspersing urban design with green spaces, making a perfect family-friendly environment.

Affordable Housing

In order to make sure that the development is a harmonious residential area and community focused, all 33 homes are affordable housing. There are 4 rented apartments, 19 homes to rent and 10 shared ownership houses, which means new residents will be able to have space of their own and buy family homes for them to enjoy for many years to come.
