The ‘wow’ moment is really important to Olly. He loves it when a design not only fits the brief but also creates something surprising because it shows any space can be transformed and improved by thinking creatively.

Olly knew he wanted to be an architect right from being at school because he loved making sculptures in Art and decided that studying architecture was a great opportunity to design on a bigger scale. It also appealed to his technical interest in Physics so seemed like the perfect fit.

He joined us in 2018 after studying at the University of Nottingham from 2011 until 2020 to get his BArch (2014) MArch (2018) & DIPArch (2020). Having completed all three degrees and with many years of practice -based experience became a Project Architect in 2024.

Olly loves the whole journey of being involved in an architectural project, from initial ideas to final construction details and finds it particularly rewarding when a design gets built. He also really enjoys how varied and unique every project is.

He couldn’t pick only one building as his favourite so here are a few: Kew House, Donnybrook Quarter & The Millennium Dome. For Olly it definitely depends on what’s influencing him at the time so if you asked him next week, he’d probably have a different answer!

Outside of work, Olly is very sporty and likes swimming, water polo and racket sports. He’s also very good at woodwork and has made some amazing gifts for our office secret santas!
