Jane leads AJA's Private Homes team, specialising in bespoke new homes, home extensions and the sensitive refurbishment of existing properties. She works closely with homeowners to create spaces that reflect how they want to live, designing homes that are beautiful, sustainable and deeply personal.

After studying architecture at the University of Newcastle and the University of Nottingham, Jane joined AJA in 2008 and is now a Chartered Architect and RIBA member with extensive experience across private residential, heritage and community projects.

Throughout her career, Jane has delivered a wide variety of bespoke homes, from contemporary new-build houses and major extensions to projects within Conservation Areas and the careful adaptation of historic buildings. She has particular expertise in low-energy and sustainable design, including Passivhaus principles, as well as creating adaptable homes that support changing needs later in life.

Alongside her residential work, Jane has led the conservation and adaptation of listed buildings, churches and community facilities, giving her a strong understanding of how heritage and contemporary living can successfully work together.
