"The best homes are shaped around the people who live in them, balancing beauty, sustainability and everyday life."
After studying architecture at the University of Newcastle and the University of Nottingham, Jane joined AJA in 2008 and is now a Chartered Architect and RIBA member with extensive experience across private residential, heritage and community projects.
Throughout her career, Jane has delivered a wide variety of bespoke homes, from contemporary new-build houses and major extensions to projects within Conservation Areas and the careful adaptation of historic buildings. She has particular expertise in low-energy and sustainable design, including Passivhaus principles, as well as creating adaptable homes that support changing needs later in life.
Alongside her residential work, Jane has led the conservation and adaptation of listed buildings, churches and community facilities, giving her a strong understanding of how heritage and contemporary living can successfully work together.
Clients value Jane's ability to listen carefully and translate aspirations, routines and ideas into thoughtful architectural solutions. Her collaborative approach, combined with creativity and technical expertise, helps homeowners uncover possibilities they may not have considered, resulting in homes that balance beauty,
