After studying architecture at the University of Newcastle and the University of Nottingham, Jane gained a BA (Hons), CAP and MArch and began working at AJA in 2008. She is also a member of the RIBA.
Jane’s architecture is driven by her belief that the places where we live, work and play should be healthy and happy - filled with natural light, connected with nature and drawing on their surroundings in some way. Most importantly, she feels our buildings should be a reflection of the people who inhabit them and so it’s really important to her that, as Architects, we listen intently. Understanding exactly how people want to use a space and what matters to them is essential and she takes great pleasure in translating this into exciting buildings that are a pleasure to spend time in.
Outside of the studio, Jane spends most of her time running around after her young child and attempting to finish the house renovation that she started 6 years ago. Aside from that, she loves to cook and is happiest when her kitchen table is full of people enjoying themselves.
