At Allan Joyce Architects, we continually compare our current provision with emerging products / technologies to ensure that our processes and designs are at the forefront of technology advances. We have recently invested in our second annual subscription to Sefaira, a web-based sustainability analysis platform specifically built for analysing conceptual designs. First released and brought into our services in 2013, it performs whole-building physics-based analysis of water, carbon and energy usage of initial design ideas.

This software enables us to explore design options with our clients at an early stage of the design process, much earlier in the design than for the typical engineering analysis. This enables us as designers to quantify the benefit of various approaches including the fabric first approach to sustainability.

We also work extensively with other organisations during the process of design evolution using U values, SAPs and EPC’s.

Our portfolio of completed buildings includes BREEAM very good & excellent offices, health centres and bespoke buildings for individual clients. We are also delivering affordable housing projects at level 5 of The Code for Sustainable Homes.
