Works have begun on the £1.2million new build heritage and cultural centre in Gedling Country Park. The park first opened to the public in 2015, offering a variety of outdoor activities to the community and has proved to be extremely popular. The new building, expected to be complete in March 2017, will provide toilets and a café to support the outdoor activities and contribute to the exciting future that the local authority have planned for the park. The design concept has been driven by the site’s history as a colliery, with the building form referencing lumps of coal. You can read more on Nottingham Post https://goo.gl/DWdPrB
