Refurbishment and Extension to an Existing Surgery

Client: Borough Street Surgery and Manor Pharmacy
Completed: 2012

Budget: £800,000

This project was a joint venture between the doctors of Borough Street Surgery and Manor Pharmacy to improve healthcare provision in Castle Donington. The works were undertaken in two phases. The first phase involved moving the Manor Pharmacy shop to the front of the site, 59 Borough Street. This work was completed in 2011, allowing for alterations to the surgery to commence.

The existing 1970’s surgery was extended and refurbished to create a fully accessible entrance lobby, a welcoming new reception area, and increase the number of GP consulting and treatment rooms. All the facilities were upgraded to comply with the Health Trust guidelines on room sizes, fittings and infection control. The extension and alterations were completed in 2012.
