Repair works to St. Mary’s and All Saints, Bingham

Client: St. Mary’s and All Saints, Bingham
Completed: 2009

Budget: £2,000

St. Mary’s and All Saints Church in Bingham is a Grade I Listed Medieval church. George Gilbert Scott restored the church in 1845. George Francis Miles designed the Lychgate, a roofed gateway to the churchyard, in 1881.

Allan Joyce Architects were appointed, as we are registered with Architects Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC). The purpose of AABC is to protect the historic built environment. We carefully measured and analysed the broken stone remains of the finials at the church. A pattern was then drawn up, which could be followed by the stone masons to carve the new stone cross members.
